Nancy Lenore (Jones) Packard's Obituary
Nancy Lenore (Jones) Packard of Dunedin, FL passed away peacefully on January 14, 2023 at the age of 90.
Born in Mineola, Long Island, New York on 1/27/32 she moved to Florida with her family as a young girl. A
graduate of Clearwater High School, Nancy received her first bachelor’s degree from Florida State University,
class of 1953, and another in the mid-1970’s from the University of South Florida in Education. She taught
middle school math and algebra for over 20 years at Tarpon Springs Middle School. She was a 60+ year
member of the choir at 1st United Methodist Church in Dunedin and was also a member of the Dunedin
Junior Service League. She is survived by her children Steven (Debbie), Susan (Kevin), and Bill (Jill) and by
many beloved grandchildren Lisa, Ryan, Christine, Elizabeth, Brie, Kaelyn, Taylor, Chloe, great grandchildren
Luke, Noah, Emma, Jordan, Arlo, Evelyn, Rollins, and Phoebe, and her sisters Carole Free and Liz Ware. She
is pre-deceased by her husband Robert Packard. Known by everyone as Nan, she was a lifelong member of
the Methodist church, a big FSU Seminoles fan, and a devoted wife and mother who loved nothing more
than big family gatherings. She touched many lives through her teaching, tutoring, church, and participating
in her children’s activities. She is deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, January 28th at First United Methodist Church, 421 Main Street, Dunedin, FL 34698. The Reverend Jason Knott will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the 1st United Methodist Church in Dunedin are appreciated.
