Nancy (St Jean) Purcell (1932-2017)
Nancy Purcell, of West Chester, PA passed peacefully as she was surrounded by her family on April 27, 2017 at the age of 84.
Born in Downingtown PA, she was the daughter of the late Warren Mercer and Mabel (Robb) Mercer.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Christopher C. Purcell; her daughter Sherrell L. St Jean of Lowell, MA, her brother Clarence Mercer of West Chester, PA, her sister Martha Beam of West Chester, PA and her best friend of 50 years Marcia Cryan of Lowell, MA.

Nancy, after many years in the retail industry as a Store Manager for a major Pharmacy company, spent the last 21 years living in Clearwater FL with her family enjoying travels to some of her favorite places such as Disney and Key West.
Nancy loved her family, her never ending puzzles, her coloring books, and especially her frequent visits with family to Disney World in Orlando FL. Nancy was an avid Boston teams sports fan, including the Patriots. But, more than anything, Saturdays were devoted to Penn State football.
As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, nothing brought her more joy than time spent with her family. Nancy will be missed by her family and friends.
A heartfelt thank you to the Nurses and Doctors of Mease Countryside Hospital in the ICU unit for their kindness and care for Nancy during a short illness in the last days of her life.
Nancy’s final request was for a private service for immediate family only. Nancy will be laid to rest with her husband Christopher at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy’s honor to the Lifelink Legacy Fund.
