Nancy Shelby Ripka's Obituary
Nancy Shelby Ripka, 85, of Palm Harbor, passed away June 3, 2025. She was born in Louisville, KY and moved to Florida from Indiana in 1979.
Nancy was a Phi Delta Kappa member, earned her Master's degree, and retired as a teacher with Pinellas County Schools. She was also a proud member of both the American Legion Auxiliary and the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, and she was Methodist in faith. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed traveling and participating in animal rescue efforts.
Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, William Ripka; and her daughter, Dr. Debbie Merinbaum. She is survived by her daughters, Julie Blight and Kristy Cahill; her sister, Mary Taylor; and 5 grandchildren, Travis and Seth Cahill, Sawyer Blight, Abby and Spencer Merinbaum.
A memorial service will take place at 5:00 pm on June 27, 2025 at Moss Feaster Funeral Home in Dunedin, FL with a reception to follow. The family will begin receiving visitors one hour prior to the service.
