Nathalie Gertrude Wright's Obituary
Dunedin, FL.- Nathalie (Nat) Gertrude Wright, 93, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023, next to her beloved husband of 72 years, Robert (Bob). Nat was born in Rockland, Maine , on April 9, 1929, a daughter to the late Edwin and Elizabeth (MacWhinne) Post. Nat lived in New Hampshire for many years before moving to Dunedin, FL. in 1990. Nat was a natural caretaker, which lead her to a lifelong career in nursing. She began her career in Concord, NH where she eventually took on a supervisory role at New Hampshire State Hospital. Nat and Bob raised their two sons in Concord until moving to Pittsburg, NH in 1971. While living in Pittsburg, Nat served as the Director of Nursing at Coos County Nursing Home, where she would remain for 15 years until retirement. She was one of the founding members of the Pittsburg Ambulance Corp. Nat would often be found tending to one of her flower or vegetable gardens at their home on Lake Francis. Nat and Bob were outdoor enthusiasts and enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. After retirement, Nat and Bob moved to Dunedin, FL., splitting their time between Florida and New Hampshire for several years until moving full time. They lived in the Lake Highlander community for 35 years, where Nat served on many committees and boards. Nat was very creative and artistically talented. She loved painting, stamping ceramics, and made beautiful quilts many of which Nat donated to local charities.She has a giant heart and felt it was very important to give back to her community. Nat loved the beach and the sunshine and would often visit Honeymoon Island Park. Nat and Bob loved to travel, taking trips to Bermuda and Hawaii, cruising the Panama Canal, attending Nascar races.
Nat is survived by her husband Robert Wright of Dunedin, FL., son Steven Wright and wife Roxanne of Pittsburg, NH, three Grandchildren Karen Carr, Kristen Tessler, amd Mark Gagne and several Great-Grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Nat is preceded in death by her son David Wright in 2020, Grandson Brian Wright in 2021 and , sister Nancy Copeland in 2020, and Grandson-in-law Brendan Carr in 2020.
