Norma Phyllis Thompson's Obituary
Norma “Phyllis” Thompson, 88 years of age, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 19,, 2021 at Baycare Dunedin Hospital.
Norma was born on January 24, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to John and Marietta (Kirk) Webb. She married George L. Thompson on March 1, 1952 in Philadelphia. They were married nearly thirty-eight years until his death on February 16, 1990. Once married, she and her husband moved to Wildwood, Cape May, New Jersey. Here, they spent many years raising their family before relocating to St. Petersburg in 1972 where they served as small businessowners. Norma spent the remaining years of her life surrounded by her children and grandchildren while cheering on her Tampa Bay sports teams, completing crossword puzzles, and eating lots of Hershey’s chocolate bars!
Survivors include her three children, Michael (Rhonda) Thompson, of Palm Harbor, Colleen (Victor) Tepetitlan of St. Petersburg, and Steven Thompson of St. Petersburg; and eleven grandchildren, Joseph Thompson, Michael J. Thompson, Amanda Thompson, Kevin (Katelyn) Fischer, Stephanie (Ryan) Usha, Victor St. Arnauld, Sara Thompson, Christopher Tepetitlan, Haley Lewis, Michael S. Thompson, and Shelby Thompson.
