Norman L. Loscalzo's Obituary
Norman Louis Loscalzo passed away peacefully on September 29, surrounded by his family’s love. Born on January 7, 1941, in New York, Norman lived a life filled with joy, kindness, and devotion to those he loved most.
A passionate and devoted social studies teacher, Norman inspired generations of students with his wisdom, humor, and belief in the power of learning. He had a rare gift for reaching students who faced challenges, helping them see their own potential and inspiring confidence and curiosity in everyone he taught.
Outside of work, Norman found joy in life’s simple but meaningful pleasures — baseball, books, classic movies, and sharing Italian meals that his devoted wife made, with those he loved. Above all, family was his heart and greatest pride.
Norman is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Loscalzo; his son Marc Loscalzo, daughter-in-law Jessica Loscalzo, and their children Kaylyn, Kamryn, Jake, Brooke, and Chris; his son Darren Loscalzo, daughter-in-law Kelly Loscalzo, and their children Mia and Luca; and his daughter Trisha Loscalzo and her loyal dog, William.
He will be remembered always as patient, kind, quietly strong, compassionate, smart, funny, happy, and deeply loving — a man whose gentle presence made the world better simply by being in it.
Norman’s family takes comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely.
“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us.”
— Helen Keller
