Oldrich Kolacek's Obituary
Oldrich Kolacek passed Peacefully at his home, on January 18, 2019, at the age of 93, our beloved Dad passed away after a valiant and courageously fought battle with cancer. He was predeceased by the love of his life, "Jano" Janine Lefebvre in 2015. They were married for 58 years and we know they are reunited, holding each other tight, saying "Ons s'aime mon amour! Oui pour tousjour!" Cherished father of Anne-Marie and much loved father-in-law of Kevin, son Michael (Cheryl) and very proud Grandpa and Deda to Alanna, Tyler, Matthew, Ryan, Antony, Lauren, and Madison. He also leaves many nieces and nephews throughout Canada and in his beloved homeland of the Czech Republic. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Outpatient Cancer Center of the Lakeshore General Hospital and the CLSC of Vaudreuil-Dorion for their excellent care and compassion. A special thank you goes out to two very incredible nurses who formed an indelible bond with our Dad; his "chemo love" Kim and his "sunshine" Nancy. A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 27 at 2pm at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex. Inurnment and reception followed.
