I served with Fred while we were both in the Coast Guard in Greenland back in 1972. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a great cheerful attitude despite our isolation...and he was also a great cook who shared recipes with me. Rest well, my friend, I know God is pleased to have you by his side.
Today was grandpa's memorial. It was a beautiful day. So many friends and family came out to join us,sharing stories and expressing how grandpa has effected us. I'm going to miss him so very much. I've enjoyed every moment I spent with my grandparents. Seeing them together while they danced and partied equally as fun as spending the evening with them at their home sharing stories and watching their favorite shows. Grandpa was so spunky, kind, and full of jokes. He just has that special spark about him. His personality, just draws you in. I love him, everything he was and the things he stood for. I feel blessed for having the chance to know grandpa and I hope to have a heart as grand as his. My prayers and thoughts go out to everyone. Yet, I'm glad that we can ease the pain of loosing him with the many funny memories he had left us to share.
My husband and I will miss Fred (loveable person) and his crazy personal antics. Every time we would visit him, we would always end up leaving his house with stitches in our stomachs and smiles on our faces!Just remember....to look up at the Heavenly Sky and say, "Guess who is making you laugh and smile up there?"As Ed McMann ("Johnny Carson Show" Host Announcer) would say, "IT'SF-R-E-D...D-I-O-Q-U-I-N-O...!My husband and I will miss you so much!You are in excellent hands with God, Heavenly Family, Angels, and Beloved Family Members & Friends right now.Peace Be With You.....

I will miss Grandpa "Fred". He would allow me to kiss his entire face especially his nose and ears with no hesitation. I will miss his rice treats under the dinner table. My sister dog "Beanie" will see and greet you at The Rainbow Bridge in Heaven. Many loves and kisses!

We didn't get to have the opportunity to meet Fred.We have heard so many wonderful stories of him and knowing Teri being the fun loving, caring, person that she is, he must have been a great father.We enjoyed the pictures and can see what a joy he was to be around.So sorry for your loss.Love, Virginia and Billy McKinney
