My Dear Opal. I will never forget you when we first met. SW airlines had a stopover in Denver.You got on and asked if the seat next to me was vacant. It was and that when I met Dear Opal. What a wonderful person she was. After the plane had landed in Tampa she asked if we could meet for breakfast one day soon & which we did. She was so interesting, so beautiful on the outside but more so on the inside. She became not only a friend for the 2-1/2 yrs we knew each other but a second proxy mother.I remember the wonderful dinners we had at Bon Appetite restaurant which was her favorite. The help loved her like she one of the family. I as well as all of them & those we all had dinner with will miss her dearly.She is now at home with her maker her husband. Many of her friends as well as my mother & father who are now playing cards with her in her new home.We can all know we have an Angel from above watching over all of us !Be well my friend, enjoy your dinner with her friends at GOD's table. The call that we NEVER wanted to receive came today from our dear friend Ron. How we wish we could be there with everyone, and to say good-bye to our Dearest Opal. She was such a special part of us, what a person and friend she was. She has given us so many wonderful, happy memories; included us with all of her friends, and what special people they are.We are all going to feel this loss for an awfully long time, Opal was such a SPECIAL LADY, SO LOVING AND SO KIND, we love you Opal.
Opal has had a most interesting and remarkable life, fascinating and fun. I will always be a better person for having her in my life. Opal, my friend, I miss you.
What an extraordinary woman! Opal loved people and the more people she could gather into her circle of friends and acquaintances, the happier she was. Opal inspired each and every one of us with her loving manner and high energy and certainly her great optimism. She amazingly would parachute each year for the last several years to celebrate her birthday. On Saturday, February 15, Opal parachuted into the arms of God. Happy landing, Opal.
