Patricia R. Brock's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Patricia Ruth Brock March 28, 1951 – June 9, 2026
Patricia Ruth Brock, lovingly known as Pat, entered the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 9, 2026, at the age of 75.
Born on March 28, 1951, Pat lived a life marked by faith, kindness, service, and perseverance. Her relationship with Jesus was the foundation of her life, guiding the way she loved her family, served her church, and cared for those around her. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued, and it was rare to meet someone who did not immediately appreciate her warmth and genuine kindness.
Throughout her life, Pat faithfully served her community through her church and her children’s schools. Alongside a dear friend, she co-led the life-changing Pioneer Kids Club at First United Methodist Church of Dunedin for many years, helping introduce countless children to the love of Jesus. She volunteered in numerous capacities within the schools and was instrumental in establishing the PTSA at Dunedin High School, creating a model that included student participation. She also worked as a data clerk for Countryside High School and the Hospital Homebound Program within the Pinellas County School system.
Pat was a woman of many interests and talents. She played the piano for most of her life and, in her younger years, also played the violin and viola, as well as basketball. In her younger adult life, she enjoyed many years of playing on a few different church softball teams. She loved reading, traveling, taking drives to the beach, cheering for the Tampa Bay Rays and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and competing in fantasy football with her children and grandchildren. She was equally happy sharing a basket of wings at Hooters with friends from The Preserve as she was spending an evening playing Ticket to Ride, Peanuts, or Catan with her family.
Family was at the heart of Pat's life. She is survived by her children, Larry Brock Jr. (Katie), Lisa Sebastian, and William Brock; her cherished grandchildren, Gavin, Sydney, and Landon Sebastian; her sister, Alice Lewis Pasma; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Carol; her daughter, Lyndsey; her son-in-law, Nick; and other cherished family members and friends who welcomed her home in heaven.
Pat's life was full of joy but not without hardship. Along with the many difficult losses she suffered, in recent years, significant health challenges limited her ability to enjoy many of the activities she loved. Yet through every trial, her faith remained steadfast. She trusted God through seasons of grief and suffering, finding strength and hope in Him.
Pat leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. While her absence will be deeply felt, those who knew and loved her take comfort in knowing she is whole again and at peace in the presence of the Lord she faithfully followed throughout her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Dysautonomia Project in memory of Pat's daughter, Lyndsey, who courageously battled dysautonomia for many years before her passing (https://thedysautonomiaproject.org/).
