Patricia Adele Yunk's Obituary
Patricia “Patti” Yunk, 71, of Clearwater, Florida, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on April 17th.
Patti was born in 1950 to Gordon and Jane Traute in Sheboygan, WI. After graduating from high school, she went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s degree from Marquette University. Always the intellect, Patti had a thirst for knowledge, loved to read, and spent a short time studying nursing at St. Pete College after her retirement.
Patti worked for the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics as an Economist and Regional Manager working on the Consumer Pricing Index until her retirement in 2000.
After retiring in 2000, Patti spent her time volunteering, traveling, and spending as much time as possible with her family. She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. Patti was an active member of First Lutheran Church in Clearwater, where her sons attended school, for more than 30 years. She made many great friends at First Lutheran and stayed actively involved in church activities and events for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard. She is survived by her sons Garrett (Breanda) Goralski and Justin Goralski and her grandchildren Kristopher Yunk and Kimberly (Ryan) Quinn. No services will take place, as Patti requested, but her family does appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.
Those wishing to honor Patti may do so by donations to the First Lutheran Church and School in Clearwater located at 1644 Nursery Road.
