Paul Bryan Conner II's Obituary
Paul Bryan Conner II, lovingly known as "Joe," 68, of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on December 24, 1957, Joe lived a life marked by devotion, compassion, and a commitment to serving others. He was a proud graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and remained deeply connected to his classmates and Alma Mater. He cherished every opportunity to return for reunions and reconnect with those who shared such an important chapter of his life.
Following graduation, Joe served in the United States Navy, five years active duty and ten years in the reserves, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. After his active military service, he was called to attend seminary, where he began more than three decades of ministry as a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. He faithfully served congregations and communities across the country.
Outside of ministry, Joe found joy in life's simple pleasures: time on the golf course, cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Lightning, and gathering with family and friends around a table filled with good food and even better conversation. He was known for his warmth, generosity, gentle spirit, and the quiet ways he made a difference in the lives of others.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Norma Conner; his son, Philipp Conner, and daughter-in-law, Lacie Conner; his daughters, Sarah Souverain and Katherine Bostick, and sons-in-law, Vladimir Souverain and Benjamin Bostick; his cherished grandchildren, Daniel and Olivia; his sisters, Kelley Jonske and Pam Trageser; and his brother, Bryan Conner.
Through serving his God, his country, and his community, Joe leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness, compassion, and love that will continue through the many lives he touched.
