Mr. Hansen was a wonderful person and we all loved him at DHS. He was a great mentor. We always thought about him and would laugh at how he use to tell my husband when he was going to get paddled and my husband would wear extra clothing, so it wouldn't sting as bad! My deepest sympathy to the family. You all will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Mr. Hansen was a great dean he worked well with all the students. He was well respected and had an encouraging word when you needed it most. My prayers are with his family at this time. Another great one has left us. Rest in peace Mr. Hansen. William Michael McIntosh Dunedin, Fl.
Mr. Hanson was always my favorite administrator at Dunedin High. Can't count the number of times he gave me a pass when he knew I had skipped school. He always seemed to really care about the kids. He was Dean of Boys when I was there. Always wore a copper bracelet. Always kind. Always had time to talk with you. He drove a white mustang that I thought was the coolest. I don't remember him as being "hardnosed" in any way. He was very considerate and just a fine human being. God Bless you Paul - Rest In Peace.
I had quit high school after my 10th grade year and had been kind of a lost soul. I tried going back to night school as well as trying to obtain my GED, but nothing inspired me. Then Mr. Hansen mentored me and gave me the courage to go back to day school and obtain my high school diploma. He played a very important role in my life. I finally graduated in 1976. I will always remember him and his kindness. May he rest in peace and mentor more in the heavens above....
I remember him as a no nonsense man who had the job to make sure we students stayed on the right track. We need more like him in today's schools. God bless him.
