Paul George Karras' Obituary
Paul Karras, age 88, died January 31, 2026 at his home in Clearwater Beach, FL. He was born in Gary, Indiana, the youngest of six children. He is survived by his wife Carol; his son Paul (Lynn); stepchildren Bernard (Sabrina) and Shawn (Mark); and many loved grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son Gregory.
Paul graduated from Emerson High School and the University of Iowa and served in the Indiana National Guard.
After operating Karras Tire Stores, he held the elected office of Lake County Assessor from 1994 to 2010. The family will have a small memorial service at a later date.
