Pauline May Cooke's Obituary
Pauline May Cooke, 84, passed away the morning of January 21st, 2025, in Concord, NH. Pauline was born on May 11th, 1940, in Winchester, Massachusetts, to her parents
Warren and Martha (Delorey) Nixon.
She attended St. Mary’s School in Winchester, and then later Winchester High School.
Growing up in Winchester, she would notice a handsome young boy named Gary going into the local candy shop, and as their eyes met, it was destined, they would start dating and eventually would marry.
On April 23, 1960, Pauline married her childhood sweetheart Gary E Cooke Sr.
Gary's career took them to Kansas where he served in the Air Force and where they welcomed their sons Gary Jr. and Robert while stationed in Kansas, and their third son Thomas in Massachusetts, after Gary’s service in the Air Force was complete.
Pauline worked fulltime at a Hospital in Winchester Massachusetts, while raising her children.
She also became a Den Mother to a cub scout troop which her sons where a part of, teaching them arts and crafts and experiments such as combining water, bluing,
salt and ammonia to pour over coals and like magic, crystals grow. Such an amazing mother!
Pauline retired from a company named Spire (a solar energy company) and from there moved to Largo, Florida with her Husband.
The last few years of her life she lived with her son Gary Jr. in Largo FL., Milford NH, and Epsom NH.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her loving husband Gary Cooke Sr., and son Thomas, sisters Sue Elliot, Ruth Garvey, Margaret Barrow, Theresa Queen, and brother Frederick Nixon.
Pauline is survived by her two sons, Gary Jr and Robert, daughter-in-law Heidi, Sister in-law Carolynn McLaughlin, Brother in-law Ward McLaughlin, Brother in-law Thomas, Sister in-law Diane,
Sister in-law Eleanor, Sister in-law Joni, four grandchildren, Dylan, Hunter, Kayla Lundbohm, and Craig; great grandchildren, Luke & Logan Lundbohm, and many nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, https://www.alz.org/
