I have so many wonderful memories of Peter, too many to share here. I think the most important thing I can share about Peter is that he was a true friend. They say people come into our lives for a reason, a special purpose. I can truly say I would not be who I am today if Peter had not come into my life when he did.I was working at Hospice, a single Mom, struggling. I was trying to get through a boat load of classes to get into nursing school. Pete was there, every day, to give me pep talks, listen to me whine, make me laugh. He was there for me as I got through nursing school, working 7 days a week. He would quiz me on the weekend while we worked, helping me get ready for the next exam. He would ask me every day how I was, how are the kids, how am I doing.
He was there, over my shoulder, as I looked up my bar exam results and shouted WOO HOO! when I passed.
Pete and his beautiful parents threw me a huge graduation party, cooking and hosting. I have never had a friend do these things for me, he and you, Mom and Dad, made me feel so special, more special than I have ever felt in my life. I thank you , from the bottom of my heart for having such a beautiful son, a beautiful soul to share with us.
Pete put up with all the funny nicknames I gave him: Pete Poo, Wheat Poo, Wheatie, and my personal favorite: Peetey Weetey Pumpkin Doodle.
I will miss you dear friend, more than words can ever say, but I carry you with me, in my heart, as one of the most precious people I have ever had the honor of calling friend.
I love you Pete, God speed.
