Peter Michael O'Keefe's Obituary
Peter Michael O’Keefe, 86, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 10, 1939, in Worcester, Massachusetts, to Elizabeth Ronayne O’Keefe and John O’Keefe.
Peter was raised in Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School. He proudly served in the United States Army, stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado, before returning home to Worcester to build a life rooted in family, hard work, and laughter.
He was the devoted husband of Anne Catherine (Hogan) O’Keefe for 57 years, until her passing in 2018.
Peter spent more than 40 years with the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, where he worked in the Composing Room and retired from Retail Advertising. While there, he made lifelong friendships. After retiring, Peter and Cathy moved to Clearwater, FL.
A passionate Red Sox fan, Peter also cherished the summers he spent with his wife along the Maine coast for over two decades in their vacation home. He was known for his unwavering sense of humor, quick wit, and generous heart. Above all, his family came first, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Peter is survived by his daughters, Sheila Allard and Sharon Jasper, his son-in-laws Peter Allard and Mark Jasper; and his beloved granddaughters, Kaitlyn Sclafani and her husband, Joseph Sclafani, Briana Allard, and Hannah Jasper.
A private Celebration of Life will be held on August 30th, 2025.
