Philip Anthony Ventrella's Obituary
On July 20, 2024 Philip Anthony Ventrella (90) of Odessa Florida passed away after a lengthy illness. He is survived by, his sister Mary Jane DuBack, his brother Anthony Ventrella Jr, his daughter Linda Kennan, her grandchildren Cheryl, Phillip and Christopher, his great-grandchildren Jacob, Kyle, Joey and Taylor, and many other loving relatives. Phil’s wife and the love of his life Frances (Fran) Ventrella predeceased him in 2019. Phil was the son of Anthony and Mary Ventrella. Phil was incredibly driven in all aspects of his life. He began work with his father at the age of 15 as a barber and had several successful salons over the years. After a brief time in the US Army Phil returned to Connecticut to run and own several barber shops and hair salons as well as a small gift shop. He eventually followed his passion for horse racing by moving to Florida in 1987 close to the Tampa Bay Downs racetrack.
