Rado James Harnage's Obituary
Rado James Harnage, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010. Born in Waukegan, IL, Rado (Jimmy) was the son of Melanie T. Rognstad of Holiday, FL and James L. Harnage of Columbia, SC. Rado had an unsurpassed zest for life, and a loving and open heart to his friends, family, and strangers. Gifted with a charismatic smile, his friends loving nicknamed him "Jimmy Cheese". He had the ability to make anyone laugh and smile no matter the circumstance. Rado was a strong, independent and determined young man with extraordinary dreams, goals, and plans for his future. He loved everything CHEVROLET, especially his two 1973 Chevy Novas. He had uncanny mechanical abilities and was most proud of his complete rebuild of a 383 Stroker engine in one of his Novas. As a registered organ donor, Rado's wish would be that all drivers register for organ donation at their local motor vehicle office. Also a strong advocate of pet rescues, the most recent love of his life was his dog, appropriately named Chevy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Donna Terry; N. Rado and Majorie A. Harnage. In addition to his parents, Rado is survived by his Aunt and Uncle, Linda Harnage and Eric Benton, Jefferson, SC; Uncle, Aunt, and cousins Michael, Sally, Amy and Eric Terry all of Salem, WI; and Uncle Robert Terry, Richmond , IL. Along with his immediate family the loss of Rado will be felt by a very large extended family and a host of true, lifelong friends – the brothers and sisters he never had. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00. The funeral service will be Thursday 11:00 all at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery, Palm Harbor.
