Rafael Roman's Obituary
Rafael Roman, 80 passed December 24, 2020 at Mease Countryside Hospital after a long battle cancer.
Mr. Roman is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, three children; Julio Roberto Roman, Ami Cruz and Karen Stansfield. He leaves behind seven grandchildren; Andrew Jaya, Vanessa Roman, Laquan Williams, Dominique Jaya, Jolena Silva, Nadius Silva, Ruby Rae Stansfield. He also leaves behind four great-grandchildren; Keon LeBlanc, Julius Morales, Jeremiah Miller and Bentley Miller.
Rafael served with distinction as a Marine in Vietnam. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as family and friends
will attest.
His family knew him as "Papi or Papa". He loved his family and loved being around them. He made all special occasions joyous with his great cooking and wonderful sense of humor. His greatest joy was for everyone to be happy. Hw will greatly missed.
