Graeme Buckley
Ray. What a lovely man. I have known him for what seems a lifetime. Trish has been my friend since we shared a pram, when growing up in London. Terry and I were at their wedding and then various family meet ups in Andover and Porthcawl. We also stayed with them in Boston and I remember Trish, Ray, Terry and I dancing in their kitchen. Ray was to generous with his time and company. We went on trips when in Boston, and we may have gone the wrong way but Ray didn’t seem to use a map or want retrace his steps!!!!! What a tailor he was, I picked up a few tips from his expertise.
I lost Terry in 2015 and I was invited to celebrate Ray’s 70th birthday in Porthcawl. I stayed with Bev, Graeme, Ben and Sam and was made to feel very welcome by all the family. In February 2016 I went and stayed in Florida with Ray and Trish. Ray made my visit very special with outings in their boat, which was amazing. Trips to see manatees, lovely beaches, shopping trips, parks, and games of “Shut the Box” in the evenings. I would like to say that Ray won most of the time but I think it was Trish really.
There will have been, and will be, many more tears shed since Ray passed, but we must remember the happy times and say “Rest in peace Ray. We will miss you “
Ann Woodgate and Nikki Debbie and families. 🙏🏻
