I am so very sad to hear of the passing of my great uncle Raymond. I have just an hour or so ago found out that he passed away last February. I always wrote to him, and he to me, at christmastime. I hadn't heard from him, and tried to telephone today. It was my daughter who found this very sad news for me. I hadn't seen him since 1981, in Sheffield England. He visited me, and took me out for lunch, to a very nice hotel. He was a great one I think for eating out. I had just started my nurse training, it was a real treat for me. He had just retired and was moving to Clearwater to live permanently. I don't think he ever came back to England again. He did not like the weather here, he would always give me updates about the temperatures in Florida. He was funny, and very witty. He sent photographs and said I could use them to frighten my children! He was a kind and generous man, and a great man of faith. I trust and believe he is with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I know that he wasn't well when I received his last letter, he had typed it because he couldn't hold a pen anymore. I do not know you, his American family, but I wish to send my very sincere sympathy to you all. He wrote about Carol, Gordon's widow, and Karen and Jarred. Please would you let me know what happened to Raymond. Thank you very much. Every blessing.
