Raymond Martin McDaniel's Obituary
Raymond Martin McDaniel, born February 5, 1938, in Royal Oak, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, in Palm Harbor, Florida.
Raymond built a long and respected career as an IT Manager, working for both the City of Detroit and Kelly Services. His dedication to service also extended to his country as he proudly served as a veteran of the United States Army.
Known for his sharp mind and warm spirit, Raymond found joy in many simple pleasures. He loved his family deeply and cherished days spent on the golf course. He could often be found enjoying music on his MP3 player, unwinding with sudoku and jigsaw puzzles, or relaxing with his signature 5 p.m. martini.
Raymond is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn McDaniel; his daughters Lynn Denise (Michael) Borowski and Kristi Rae (Matt) McAnaul; and his adoring grandchildren Olivia, Marne, and Corrine Potocki, and Jonathan, Nolan, and Laila McAnaul.
The family would also like to recognize Mease Dunedin Hospital for the compassionate care and support Raymond received.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Raymond’s memory to Morton Plant Mease Healthcare Foundation, Gifts in Memoriam. https://mpmf.org/
