Raymond J Robichaud's Obituary
Raymond Joseph Robichaud was born to Alphonse Robichaud and Irene (Richard) Robichaud on October 6, 1945, in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. He was the 2nd of eight children. He emigrated to the US and met his bride 1963. He married Bertha Ann Arsenault in October 1970.
He worked as a draftsman at Digital, General Dynamic and Paradyne for over 25 years. He then worked at Safety Harbor Spa and later as a carpenter. He retired in 2009.
He had special gift for woodcarving, drawing and painting. He was an avid gardener, specializing in tomatoes. He loved the outdoors. He would be found at the beach, in his garden, or at his garage chair watching TV.
His major passion, however, was cars. Specifically, Corvettes. He loved driving, working on, showing and simply being near classic cars. He was known for his sense of humor and his readiness to help a friend.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, brother, Gerald, and sisters Alphonsine, Martha, and Angela.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha; his son, Jason (Julie-Anne); and his Granddaughter, Stella; his brother, Yvon; and his sisters, Cecile and Norma.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 7, 11AM with a gathering at 10AM at the funeral home, 693 S. Belcher Rd, Clearwater. Donations may be made to FCS Foundation, 5985 Silver Falls Run, Bradenton, FL 34211.
