Raymond Sanford Rowe Jr.'s Obituary
Raymond S. Rowe Jr., 79, passed away on March 23, 2025, in Safety Harbor, Florida.
Born on March 26, 1945, in Oneida, Kentucky, Raymond dedicated his life to service, both in the military and in his professional career. He served with distinction in the United States Air Force for 22 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. During his tenure, he played a vital role as a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance personnel, ensuring the safety and operational readiness of the Air Force's flying fleet. His service included time during the Vietnam War, where his expertise and dedication contributed to the success of countless missions.
Following his military career, Raymond transitioned into real estate, becoming a respected broker and owner of ERA Five Star Realty until his retirement.
Raymond is survived by his son Michael J. Rowe and daughter-in-law Susie Rowe; daughter Angela Rowe and son-in-law Michael O’Steen; sisters Nancy Reid, Louise Durrance, Evelyn Dean and her husband Jim Dean who was also his best friend; brother Rayburn Rowe; and grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Alana, and Gabrielle. He was preceded in death by his daughter Melissa Anne Rowe; brother Robert Rowe and sister-in-law Judy Rowe; and parents Etta Mae Cottongim and Raymond Sanford Rowe Sr.
Raymond’s legacy is one of dedication—to his country, his profession, and family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
Two intimate gatherings will be hosted to celebrate Raymond's life and share in his memories: one in Tampa Bay & one in Tennessee. Dates are to be shared once arrangements are made.
