Raymond R Seeto's Obituary
Raymond R Seeto
Beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Army Veteran and Retired Aircraft Mechanic.
Raymond “Rick” Seeto, 73 years old, of Palm Harbor passed away peacefully on January 29th, 2025.
Rick leaves behind his sisters Linda Gagliardi, JoAnne (Michael) Bates, and Elieen Seeto; brothers William and Scott (Kathy) Seeto; nieces Corin (Ryan) Aldrich, Mica, Katelin and Isabelle; nephews Christopher “Creedy” (Heidi) Bates and Nathan; great niece Brianna “Bre”; great nephews Madison, Thadeus, Liam, and Josiah. He always loved seeing his family grow, discover, and achieve.
Rick was predeceased by his father, Ray Seeto, in 1963 – followed by his mother, Maxine Seeto, in 2022. From the young age of 12: he quickly accepted responsibility as his family's eldest son to assist his mother in caring for their family of six before enlisting in the United States Army shortly after turning 18.
Rick would rise to the rank of SPC “Specialist” 4 during his time with the United States Army and spent a year working alongside the USA Flight Recon Team during the Vietnam War. He enrolled in aviation school after returning stateside as a civilian – where he successfully graduated as an Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) before dedicating 29 years of his life to improving the safety of commercial air travel.
When help was needed – Rick was there. He loved showing up at others doors to surprise them with food and gifts. He has always been a “family-first” man and was loved by a large, extended group of aunts, uncles, cousins, and fur babies. His ability to recall specific details of events, people, places and things has always amazed those around him and made recalling happy memories all the more enjoyable. He will be especially remembered for his love of music – specifically songs with amazing guitar solos and anything Blues, as well as fishing.
Rick was always able to bring humor and light to any occasion. His ability to live in the moment with his loved ones has unfailingly made him “a favorite” among family and friends. His presence will forever be missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm EST on February 10th, 2025 at Moss Feaster Funeral Home and Cremation in Dunedin, FL – with a reception following at his brother William's home.
Virtual attendance is welcomed and can be accessed here on the day of the service.
