Rhea Nile Brown's Obituary
Rhea Nile Brown, 80, of Palm Harbor, FL passed away December 17, 2019. She was born to the late Rhea and Hugh Nile on Dec. 10, 1939 in Wellsville, Ohio. She pledged Alpha Xi Delta and received a BA in History from the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio in 1961.
Rhea traveled throughout Europe while living in Germany and was proud of being able to teach American soldiers during her time there. She and her family moved to Clearwater in 1970. She taught at St. Cecelia School in Clearwater from 1970-2008 and enjoyed teaching advanced English Language, as well as elective courses in chess, origami, cake decorating, ceramics, bridge, coordinating the year book and being a swimming instructor.
Rhea was an avid tennis player, ceramic artist and greeting card designer. She enjoyed playing in Victorian tennis tournaments and spending summers with her children and extended family in Chautauqua, NY. Later on, her summers were spent traveling with her grandsons and teaching them ceramics and card making.
She is survived by her two children, Douglas and Jennifer(Jeaux), her daughter-in-law Shannon, and four grandchildren.
