Richard J. Calvert's Obituary
CALVERT, Richard J. , 93 of Clearwater passed away peacefully on March 27, 2016. He was born January 14, 1923 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was raised in Los Angles and was a snowbird coming to Florida for the last twenty years. Richard joined the US Army Air Force following Pearl Harbor, and stayed in the military serving in the newly created Air Force during the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. After retiring from serving his country he became a manager of a large security company and worked until retirement. He was a member of St. Johns Archbold Christian Church and served with the Shriners for a time. Other memberships were the American Legion and the Masons. For leisure he loved to travel, read books and spend time with family.
He is predeceased by his grandparents and his first wife, Arlene. Survivors include his second wife of 30 years, Mary; daughter, Randy(Jim), Candy(Larry); Grandchildren Stacey(Tyler), Richard, Andrew and Jeremy; great grandchildren, Lucy,Ryan,Drew and Richard; children of second wife Mary, Jacqueline, John,Gregory; grandchildren, Johnathan, Courtney, Chase, Carsyn, Sean, Kiersten, Katekyn, Kennedy, and Kamyrn.
