Richard W. Moore Sr.'s Obituary
Richard W. Moore, Sr, 71 of Largo, FL passed away suddenly on March 19, 2020. Richie was born September 26, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY to Francis W. and Edna (Mellon) Moore, who have predeceased him. He worked with the disabled and mentally challenged for 33 years and continued to help others after that. He converted to Catholicism and was a devout Catholic who went to novenas, was a lector, and taught CCD. Richie was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Largo; a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, history buff, enjoyed authors, G.K. Chesterton & Fulton Sheed; he played guitar and piano, performed in a variety of public places, and wrote and recorded his own music. He enjoyed sports, coached Little League, and even went to umpire school. Most of all, he was a loving son, brother, husband, and father. He will be missed. Richie is survived by his wife, Carolyn, of 48 years; a son Richard W. Jr, and his wife, Ji Hye Ahn; and 2 brothers, Edward and his wife Susan, and Arthur and his wife Susan.
