Richard and I attended Glen Oak grammar school together. We became best friends in junior high and remained so through high school and college. In school and out of school we shared many great times together. His energy, enthusiasm and smile were all contagious. My life has been enriched by our years of friendship. We will all miss him.

I met Richard at Georgie Boy Restaurant in Clearwater. We are both outgoing and interested in people and it wasn't long before we started sharing stories over impromptu meetings in the back booth at GB. He was a well-spoken, widely traveled complete gentleman with a humorous take on almost any subject or person. What great talks we had! Even when ill, and most of the time a little edge of his life was involved in diagnostics at Morton Plant or there about, he was so interesting and compassionately connected with people around him. I have missed him and will miss him--but he touched my life and will remain one of my best memories. Love to him and to all he knew and loved.
