Richard L. Post, 83 Former resident of Temple Hills, Clinton and Cobb Island, Maryland, and Pinellas Park and Dunedin, Florida Richard (Dick) Post, 83, Died August 20, 2012 at Largo Medical Centre. At his request, no service will be held. Dick Post was born on January 30, 1929, in Fort Scott, Kansas to Lawrence and Ruth Post. He was loved and appreciated for his kind nature and ability to fix anything from cars to broken hearts. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II as a Sergeant at Bowling Air Force Base. While in service to his country, in 1950, he met his beloved Yvonne. They married in 1951 and shared a wonderful and rewarding life together for the last 61 years. In 1955 he opened his own business, Dick's Auto Service, located in Clinton, Maryland. For over 45 years he served, his community with honesty and integrity.He served the community through St. Phillip's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, VFW, American Legion, Three Rivers Gun Club and was a Governor at Chesapeake Yacht Club. Recently he enjoyed membership at Skyway Gun Club, Pinellas Park, Florida and was President of the Men's Community Group at Springwood I in Pinellas Park. Dick Post was a true outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting and over 4 decades of boating with his family.He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Yvonne; Daughter Annette Post; son Michael R. Post; daughter-in-law Debby Post; Grandson Michael B. Post and great-granddaughter Lily Post. His extended family includes his Brother Roy; his wife Grace; nephew Gary Post and family. He was preceded in death, by his loving Daughter, Laura M. Post.He dedicated his life to his wife and children and was loved by all - He will be missed!
