Robert Sean Martin's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Sean Martin, 53, of Dunedin, Florida, died on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Tampa General Hospital. Bob was born on November 3, 1971, in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late Robert Forest Martin, and Barbara McKenzie Musser of Flatwoods. He was also preceded in death by his step-father who he loved dearly, Michael Musser.
A 1989 graduate of Raceland High School, Bob earned a bachelor’s degree from Shawnee State University. Bob lived his life as carefree as possible. He loved listening to the seashells make music and watching the sun set with the love of his life and his dog, Bohdi. He always said, “Find a beach without footprints and leave it better than you found it. Wade in calm waters, swim with the manatees and sea turtles, embrace the solitude and comfort of the ocean, take opportunities to travel to places you’ve never been and embrace the culture. Life is meant to be enjoyed and not wasted.” Bob called himself a beach bum, a Parrothead, a drifter, a wonderer, a boater, and a happily content seeker of calm.
Bob is survived by his wife and love of his life, Karen Huddleston Martin; his daughter, Olivia Martin of Lexington, Kentucky; his step-daughter, Jamie Fielding (Tucker) of Mountain Home, Idaho; his lifelong special friends he considered family, George Saunders and Beth Deere; and a host of other family and friends.
Per Bob’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
