Robert "Bob" D. Noonan's Obituary
Robert “Bob” DuBois Noonan, age 88, of Clearwater, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, after a life well-lived, surrounded by loved ones, in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Bob was born in Long Island City, New York to Timothy and Roslyn (DuBois) Noonan, and lived in Leonia, New Jersey, and Medina, Ohio before moving to Clearwater, Florida in 1991. As a young man, he simultaneously worked for American Express, cab driver in NYC, and short order cook at Fort Totten, NY. Later, for over 20 years, he worked as a Management Consultant for various companies, notably in the railroad and steel industries, while based in New Jersey and Ohio.
A New York Yankees, and Ohio State Buckeyes fan, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend and so many other roles, he is survived by his bride of 67 years, Constance (Schuck) Noonan, Clearwater; his sister, Joan Slomka (Edwin), Flemington, NJ; his brother, Wallace Noonan (Susan), Allentown, NJ; his son, Robert J. Noonan (Joanne), Dracut, MA; his two daughters, Janice Musacchia (Matthew), St. Petersburg, FL and Patricia Sommervold (Greg), Glendale, AZ; seven grandchildren: Patrick (Erin), Joseph (Tiffany), Megan (Toby), Kathryn (Tim), Rafael (Andrea), Rikki (Justin) and Christopher; 11 great grandchildren and one more on the way; and 8 nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in heaven by his parents, aunts and uncles, granddaughter, Rikki, and two nephews.
The family welcomes friends to visit the Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Rd, Clearwater, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 to remember and celebrate Bob’s life. Friends are also welcome to attend a Mass in Bob’s honor at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1955 S. Belcher Rd, Clearwater, at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 22. 2018.
