Robert V. Quinn's Obituary
Robert V. Quinn passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015. He was born November 19, 1941 in Somerville MA to the late William J. and Helen E. (Manning) Quinn. Robert moved to Clearwater permanently in 1971 to play for the Clearwater Bombers. He was inducted into the ASA Fastpitch Softball Hall of Fame in 2001 and into the UMass Boston State Hall of Fame for hockey in 2005. In addition to playing sports, he was a school teacher for 30 years at both Ponce De Leon and San Jose Elementary.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Diane (Myler) Quinn of Clearwater, his daughter Nancy Q. Preising and her husband Jeffrey of Seminole, daughter Stephanie Quinn and her fiancé Marquis O’Neal of Clearwater, daughter Melissa Quinn of Clearwater and grand-daughter Rachel Courtney. Dear brother of Walter Quinn of Tewsbury MA, the late Edith Schrage and her surviving husband Francis of Medford, MA, the late Joseph Quinn of Everett, MA, William Quinn and his wife Mary Jane of Reading, MA, the late Mary Quinn of Somerville, MA and James Quinn and his wife Maureen of Wakefied, MA. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held Friday, 8/7 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at MossFeaster Funeral Home, 693 South Belcher Road, Clearwater, FL 33764. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, 8/8 at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 1955 S. Belcher Rd. Clearwater, FL 33764.
