Robert Joseph Stryczny's Obituary
Robert "Bob" Joseph Stryczny, age 48, passed away unexpectedly due to complications during emergency surgery on Friday, November 16, 2018, at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, Florida. Bob was born April 11, 1970, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Richard "Dick" and Marlene (Tieber) Stryczny, and was the youngest of 5 children. He was a 1988 graduate of Tarpon Springs High School and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in 1996. He met his future wife, Jennifer "Jenn" Ireland through mutual friends and coworkers at Outback Steakhouse and dated during his last year of college. After graduation, she gladly followed him back to the West Coast of Florida, specifically Palm Harbor, where their home remains to this day. Bob and Jenn were married February 20, 1999, at St. Luke's in Palm Harbor with a celebration like no other at the Hilton Clearwater Beach. Together they have 3 amazing children and a dog that they all adore.
Bob worked for Staples as a National Business Development Executive in the BSC/Property Management segment of Facility Solutions. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with friends and family, attending and occasionally coaching his sons' baseball games during their time in Palm Harbor Little League, cheering his daughter on at her recreational soccer games with West Florida Flames and Tampa Bay Rowdies, relaxing on the beach, watching sunsets, boating, golfing, the competition and comradery of his 20+ year Fantasy Football League, and cracking jokes over a beer with anyone willing to join him.
Bob is preceded in death, and is now reunited with, his beloved father, Richard and his father-in-law, Steve. He is survived by his wife of nearly 20 years, Jenn, his sons, Mason and Tyler, his daughter, Savannah, and his ever-constant furry companion, Maggie. Also surviving are his mother, Marlene (Karl Monitzer) Stryczny; sisters Vickie (Jim) Jurco and Sue (Craig Pastirko) Stryczny; brothers Mike (Jodie) and Mark (Ravage) Stryczny; mother-in-law Terri Ireland; sister-in-law Laura (Mark) Newman and brother-in-law Scott (Tina) Ireland. He was "Uncle Bob" to 17 nieces and nephews, 1 great-nephew and 2 more great-nephews on the way.
A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held on Saturday, November 24th at 11am at Palm Harbor United Methodist Church located at 1551 Belcher Road in Palm Harbor.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Homeless Empowerment Program (HEP) at 1120 N Betty Lane; Clearwater, FL 33755
