Robin M Hobson's Obituary
Robin Matthews Hobson, 56, passed away on September 22, 2013. She was born in Johnson City, New York on July 16, 1957, to Jack Duane Matthews and Doris Ottman Matthews. Robin is survived by her son Kevin and his wife Sara, her daughter Kelly Fritts and her husband David, her companion in life Joe Olender, her mother Doris O. Matthews, her three grandchildren Noah, Elijah and Emma Hobson, her sister Linda Matthews and her partner Penny Schuck, her brother David Matthews and his wife Donna, and a cousin who was like a sister Jean Grant. Her sister Wendy Day who was married to Tommy Day died of lung cancer in 2004,Robin loved life and all it had to offer. She was an adventurous spirit who enjoyed roller blading, kayaking, hiking, the beach and anything nature had to offer. She often joked about how lucky she was to live in a place like Florida, always being on vacation and wearing flip flops. While she was not a fan of the cold she loved visiting Joe in Fort Wayne, Indiana and touring the Midwest. She was a devoted employee of Raytheon Company where she worked for over 10 years. For those who worked with her she always delivered on her commitments and with a smile. No project was ever too big or complex for her. But no matter what she experienced in life the thing she loved the most was her family. She was devoted to her family including the care of her mother and always pulling the family together for fun and exciting trips. Mostly she was devoted to her children and grandchildren. No matter what was going on in life she always made time to ensure they were #1. Over the past few years Robin has also found comfort in the Northwood Presbyterian Church.
