I was so shocked and saddened to read of Roger's passing! I met him and his family while I was his son's, Jason, teacher at Paul B. Stephens ESE so many years ago. I remember the night that Jason graduated and how he and I just hugged and cried together while Roger stood patiently by letting us share that special moment. The Harper family was so very good to me and Roger did multiple plumbing services at my home and would never let me pay him a dime. His sense of humor was classic! My deepest sympathies go out to his wife, Lisa and all their children. RIP Roger, you were one of a kind!

We will so miss Roger. Although he worked day and night, he always had time for a story or a joke, or just a moment to talk about the important things in life. He didn't mind if sometimes the joke was on him. One of the last times I saw him he reminded me of the time he came to my office to fix some plumbing. I heard he was in the waiting room, like a patient, so I came out to get him. Greeting him in front of a full waiting room, I loudly asked if he came in for the sexual dysfunction study. He turned beet red, looked around, and almost ran out the door! We laughed about that one for years.
We remember Roger as a family man, full of life and love. Our hearts go out to his family.

One thing about Roger is when he should up, he always showed up with a story. Whether it was about professional wrestling or something crazy about my dad or another one of their old buddies. I always enjoyed hearing them even the ones I've heard more than a couple of times. Those stories will definitely be missed and so will Roger. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Roger was one of the warmest people I have ever know. Always there if you needed anything. Always there with a smile. Bob and I always enjoyed his visits. The great conversation and the laughs will surely be missed. Even when we were trading war stories about our teenagers, you found a way to make me laugh through the migraines... I distinctly recall you reminding me one day they would have kids and then the joke was on them. Every time my little grandson gives my daughter a run for her money I remember those conversations with a smile. You were right friend. I reflect on all the wonderful stories we shared about our families. Ups and downs twists and turns, one thing was for sure... he loved you all so much. Those grand babies made his face light up with so much joy. Stories of some of their escapades were the source of great laughter :) Thank you all for sharing your Roger with us. We were blessed to have known him.
Heaven has a new angel, and I am betting he is already making them laugh up there. :) We're missing you already big guy... one day I am sure your warm smile will be there to greet us all on our way into those gates.
