Ronald J. Caron's Obituary
Ronald J. Caron, 96 years old, passed away October 25th, 2018. He was the son of Paul J. Caron and Bernice Darneau Caron. He attended St. Frances De Salle elementary school, Assumption College Prep School, and then graduated from Waterville High School in Waterville, Maine. Ronald served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. After he was discharged from the Navy he became a master electrician and went home to work with his Father. He then joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, which gave him the opportunity to work throughout the United States until his retirement in 1986. Baseball was his favorite sport and one of his greatest joys in life. Ronald’s son in law, Manny Acta provided Ronald with the opportunity to enjoy baseball to the fullest potential.
Ronald was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post #18, and member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Post #4910.
He is survived by his devoted children and family. Cindy (Caron) and Manny Acta, Sylvia (Caron) Sartori, Jennifer (Caron) and Lode Holtslag, James and his wife Linda Caron. His special sisters Alice (Caron) her husband Alan Paddock, along with his sister Jacqueline (Caron) Gamache. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
