Ronald J. Pacana's Obituary
Pacana, Ronald J., 65, passed away peacefully December 6, 2016 at his home in Clearwater after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 2, 1951 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Madelene Pacana, who both preceded him in death, and was the oldest of six children.
He attended Saints Peter and Paul Elementary School, Quigley South Preparatory High School, and two years at Chicago State College where he played hockey. He moved to Clearwater in 1976 and worked in Finance until he retired in 2013.
Ron was a loving and devoted husband to his wife of 38 years, Kim, father to Nicole (Ron), Heather (Steve), Eric (Katie), and adoring Papa to three grandchildren. The families are members of Light of Christ Catholic Church.
He was a longtime sports fan of the Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Rays and Lightning. He was also an avid golfer and worked part-time as a starter at Belleair Country Club for over 15 years.
His family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Moffitt Cancer Center, Suncoast Empath Hospice and all his previous physicians for their compassionate care.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM, Friday, December 16, 2016 at Light of Christ Catholic Church, 2176 Marilyn St., Clearwater. Interment will be private.
