An Ode to Diane & Ron
In fond Memory of Ron, he’ll not be forgotten 1943 / 2015
There’s a lovely couple from Iowa
Who have never been to Kiawah
She’s a peach you can see
And a nice guy we’ll agree
And got married a long time ago
What Diane saw in Ron
Instead of that good looking Don
A mystery that had everyone wondering why
To take on this bungling guy
Must have been something he had
To make this shy girl glad
But she wouldn’t find out
Till their wedding night came about
For Ron what a dream
As most girls would scream
They didn’t want to be seen
Even in a dream
On a date with Ron Reid
But that was 2 score and ten plus years ago
Now with Bob, Jim and Linda in tow
And Ron with a badge and gun
Diane with union matters had fun
Now retired and a condo at Heather Lakes
The last thing they want to see is snow flakes
And looking at the memories of long ago
And with sad hearts bending low
The future is unknown and of uncertainty,
Will be conquered by love that will be for eternity
Diane and family, our hearts are with you, from your good friends &
neighbors in Building K and your many, MANY other Heather Lake friends
.
