Rosalie Hicks' Obituary
Rosalie Hicks passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on May 30, 2025, in Clearwater, Florida. Rosalie was born on April 14, 1934, in Hungary but moved to Germany as a young girl. She met and married a US Serviceman, Willard Hicks, stationed in Germany and moved to South Carolina and eventually to Clearwater Florida in 1961.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband Willard and her son John. She is survived by her son Leonard (Janet), her three grandchildren, Stephanie Thomeczek, Samuel Hicks, Abigail Hicks, and her three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jayce, and Mason.
Rosalie worked as a housekeeper for many years and volunteered for numerous organizations throughout the years. Up until her early 80’s Rosalie went to the YMCA daily to swim, exercise, and socialize with her friends. Rosalie loved to travel, especially cruising and taking guided tours.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday June 11, 2025, at 11am, at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo FL. 33774. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend. Obituary to follow shortly.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Suncoast Hospice in Rosalie’s honor.
