Rosemarie Metzger's Obituary
Rosemarie Metzger, 85, of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed Monday, November 16, 2015 under Hospice Care. She was born in Brooklyn New York. Rosemarie was the daughter of German immigrant parents, Walter and Elizabeth Ahlf. She attended the local schools on Long Island, New York, and then graduated from Berkeley Business School in Manhattan. She was employed as an Administrative assistant and also a buyer for industrial supplies for 50 years.
Rosemarie married Thomas Metzger, who was a New York City firefighter. They relocated to Palm Harbor in 1990. They had a 39 year happy union. Thomas died in November 2012.
Rosemarie is survived by her son, Thomas Bowman, his wife Stephanie of Austin Texas and beloved granddaughters, Anna and Mikaylah.
A Gathering of friends will be held today at 11:30 am with a Memorial service to follow at 1:00 pm at Moss Feaster Funeral home, 1320 Main Street, Dunedin. Inurnment will take place at Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
