Rosemary Strout's Obituary
Rosemary passed away on Wednesday, November 4th, one month short of her 94th birthday. She was born in Zionsville, Indiana, the second child of Bill and Fern Lohman. She attended Shortridge High School and after graduation began working in Indianapolis. She married Herb Hesselgrave in 1946 and they had one daughter, Linda. Unfortunately, Herb died in 1949. In 1954, Rosemary was introduced to Warren Strout whom she married in June of that year. They moved to a house in Indianapolis where their son, Michael, was born. A year after that, Warren and Rosemary moved to Speedway, Indiana, where they lived for 30 years. During that time, Rosemary was a secretary for Speedway Lutheran Church where she worked for several years. She and Warren then moved to Tarpon Springs, Florida. They enjoyed the warm weather and fishing in Lake Tarpon and were very active in their church and several monthly social events. Warren preceded her in death, passing away in 2002. Rosemary is survived by her two children, Linda Haley (John) and Mike Strout (Sherie) , along with 6 grandchildren (Kara, Erik, Jake, Jessica, Shanna, and Justin) and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in Speedway, Indiana on Monday, November 9th, at Flanner and Buchanan Mortuary on High School Road.
