Roy E. Hemmingsen's Obituary
ROY E. HEMMINGSENRoy was born on January 10, 1918 in Walnut Grove, Minnesota. Later the family moved to Austin, Minnesota where he graduated from high school and worked in a meat market.He enlisted in the Marines in November 1942 and served until December 1945.He went to Business College and also took a management course at General Motors Institute.He worked at an automobile dealership where he first was office manager and later became new car sales manager.In August 1954 he married Mary Ahrens and the couple moved to the Jacksonville, Florida area where he continued in the automotive business.The family moved to Marion, Iowa in 1958 and Roy worked at and then owned an asphalt company.Roy retired to the Clearwater area in 1977 and a few years later he missed working and returned to working in a meat market for another 14 years.In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by his children:Robert Hemmingsen and his wife Carol of SeminoleBarbara Hadidi and her husband Rachid of Trophy Club, TexasVictoria Freeman of Palm Harbor, Florida And also his Grandchildren:Erik HemmingsenTiffany Noser and her husband, TomNikolas FreemanEmma FreemanSteven Hadidi Sara HadidiAnd Great-GrandchildrenSydney and Samantha Noser His sister, Lil Dugan of Pharr, TexasAnd nieces and nephewsMemorial donations in Roy's memory can be made to Suncoast Hospice or the Humane Society of Pinellas County. Arrangements under the direction of Moss Feaster Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dunedin, FL.
