Russell W. Meyers' Obituary
Meyers, Russell W, 87, of Clearwater passed away March 8, 2016. Mr. Meyers is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Catherine Joan, his three children, Kathleen Kitchener, Kenneth Meyers and Nancy Hewel and 8 grandchildren all from the Clearwater area. Russell treasured his family and his pets. He graduated from Collinwood High School, Cleveland, Ohio, 1947. He proudly served in the US Navy for four years, stationed in Japan. Russell retired from the Bendix Corporation after 29 years of service in Elyria, Ohio and Clearwater. Russell was an accomplished musician. He was a member of the US Navy Band and played for many local private clubs. He was always an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking during his retirement. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, Clearwater on March 16, 2016 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
