Ruth Lois Miller's Obituary
Ruth Lois Miller, 96, of Palm Harbor, FL passed on September 7, 2021. Ruth was born on August 28, 1925 in Chicago Illinois where she lived much of her life and had a successful career with Arthur Andersen LLP. In 1987 she moved to Dunedin, Florida. She was very proud of her Scottish heritage (Clan Chisholm) and visited Scotland several times. Ruth was an avid golfer well into her 80’s and loved her Westie Terrier dogs as if they were her children. Ruth was a member of the Lutheran Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Throughout her life Ruth was active in the communities in which she lived including volunteering at Shriner’s Children Hospital and other local hospitals.
Ruth was preceded in death by, son Roger Heiber, parents David G Chisholm Sr and Clara (Benkhe) Chisholm, brother David G Chisholm Jr, and husbands Elmer Blessen, Alfonso Heiber, and Robert C Miller. Ruth is survived by her sister-in-law Lois Chisholm, nieces Beth (Chisholm) Brady, Gail (Chisholm) Perion, Dr Julia (Chisholm) Kocal, Stepchildren Barbara (Miller) Porembski, Dennis Miller and grandchildren, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Church of your choice in memory of Ruth Miller.
A Memorial Service and final internment will be at Eden Cemetery, Schiller Park, IL
