Sally Smith Sloan's Obituary
SLOAN, Sally Smith, 77, of Clearwater died January 22, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born in Clearwater, Florida, April 1,1947 to C. Barbara Harris and Arthur E. Smith, Jr.
Sally was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and educator. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jean Muller (Richard), her grandson, Zachary Edward; her sisters Carol A. Smith (Howard Olsen) and BJ Velasco; her brother Thomas L. Smith (Leanne) and many nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life, Sally was committed to the betterment of children and young adults. She served as an educator in the Pinellas County School System, where she made a lasting impact on countless students. In addition to her work in education, Sally volunteered her time as an auxiliary police officer with the Clearwater Police Department, demonstrating her dedication to her community.
After retiring, Sally cherished spending time with her beloved grandson and eventually
moved to the Las Vegas area to be closer to family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, Edward Sloan and her brother Arthur “Skip” Edward Smith, III.
She will be remembered for her kind heart, her selfless service to others, and her unwavering love for her family.
A gathering will be held at Moss Feaster Funeral Home from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on March 20, 2025.
Service and Burial will be March 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Clearwater Cemetery
