Scott M. Lucas' Obituary
Scott Michael Lucas passed away peacefully with his loving family on July 16, 2020. He was a husband, father, caregiver and anything else you needed him to be. Scott was born in Connecticut on July 21, 1959. He grew up in South Tampa with his three brothers always finding ways to get in trouble. Scott was a rebel. During his time at Plant High School he left a lasting impression when he rode his motorcycle through the halls before he left. Safe to say he wasn’t welcomed back after that. He married his best friend, Carol, on April 14, 1979 in Tampa, Florida. They had two children, Joshua and Samantha. Scott also had a special bond with his grandson, Adrian. They raised a family, but always found time to escape to Daytona Beach together.
He never just liked something, Scott was passionate and put his heart into everything he did. In his retirement, he grew out what he would call his luscious white hair. He enjoyed gardening, working on his growing “honey do” list, and picked up playing guitar. He loved to cook for the family and never knew what a portion size was. Scott was unpredictable and you never knew what he was going to say or do next, but you could always count on him being there for you.
Scott was preceded in death by his two brothers, Michael Lucas and John Lucas. He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Florence Emmons, George Emmons and Doreen Schnitt. Scott is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carol Lucas. He will always remain in the hearts of his two children, Joshua Lucas and Samantha Lucas and his grandson, Adrian Lucas. Scott will be remembered by his brother-in-law, Carl Holloway and sister-in-law, Pam Spence, and his many nieces and nephews.
