Shirlann P Baisley's Obituary
My dear friends,
Our sister and mother Shirlann passed to the other side yesterday afternoon. My brother Larry Davis and I, Cecilia Cunningham, along with her sons, Christopher and Jeremy Baisley, and her oldest granddaughter Abby held her in our arms as she died. Helping us throughout the week were Lisa, her daughter-in-law, grandson Brooks, and brother's wife Margie, and their son John Davis.
She was a wonderful person, incredibly kind, with a will to live having fought breast cancer for almost 40 years. She was near death several times, the last in November 2013. A team of five doctors saved her. They stood at her bed telling us how we were looking at a miracle. We believed them. She was a miracle to us.
She had a massive stroke Monday night. She was able to communicate with us with yes and no and a few words. However she could not survive this. She was able to die at the Suncoast hospice in a beautiful bedroom facing a beautiful Florida woods. We could not have asked for more.
Please remember her in your prayers.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to The American Breast Cancer Society or Suncoast Hospice.
