Shirley Ann Caldwell “Shirl the Pearl”, 81 of Palm Harbor, Florida passed Tuesday, December 22, 2015 in Safety Harbor, Florida. Shirley was born in Cambridge Massachusetts. She spent many years in New York City where she was employed with various NYC agencies including social security and the state health department. Shirley retired to Florida in 2011 from New York. She was a member of St. Augustine Episcopal Church. She enjoyed gardening, plant propagation, shopping, travelling, reading and writing poetry. She especially enjoyed visiting the casinos.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur C. Fowler and Ellen Miles Fowler, sister, Antoinette E. Hayes; brother, Rodney G. Fowler; sister-in-law, Joyce Cully and brother-in-law, Robert Caldwell.
Shirley is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Ronald Caldwell Sr.; three Children, Marcia Annette Caldwell and Terrance Hollinsed; Ronald Joseph Caldwell Jr. and Vincent LoPrete; Philip Anthony Caldwell and Iris Pizarro; grandchildren, Candice Lau-Ren Sebastian; Bernard Joseph (Jasmine) Sebastian; Jaqueline Caldwell, Samantha Danielle (Mark) Ricketts, Milan Rene Caldwell, Tyler Winfield Hollinsed, Analisa Pizarro Caldwell, Ariana Pizzarro Caldwell; great-grandchildren, Justin Sebastian, Joseph Ricketts, Isaiah Hunnicutt, Chloe Sebastian, Isabella Ricketts, Aidan Hunnicutt and Jaiden Caldwell; sisters, Virginia Sligh and Marcia Flanders; also, a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
